Manga tips #1 : Gon’s eye

I’ll be featuring Gon Freecss from Hunter X Hunter as an example.

Here’s a close up on his eye. He has a big round brown eyes.

The first step is to draw the outline of his eyes.

Draw the pupils. Just draw an oval shape inside the outline.

Draw a little circle on the upper part of the pupils. Make sure that it is coloured white.

Draw a crescent moon shape on the lower part of the pupils.

Put a darker colour in it. I’ll put red inside.

Then put a lighter colour inside. Make sure to not cover the darker colour.

So that’s how you draw Gon’s eye. He’ll look like this with red eyes. What do you think? Leave a comment below!
